Dear Editor,
I am a young lady who has witnessed an attack on a Rastafarian and I am not pleased about it that's the reason why i am writing to this newspaper.
As a young person i don't think that every person or man who has dreadlocks should be stoned any angry crowd because of what one may have done. Even Rastafarian are God's creation and are human beings so we must treat them equally. I don't believe that because that because one dreadlocks committed a murder, rape or theft every last one should be stoned or denied their right to be equal in society.
We see that Brother Man was a peacefully going about his business an a person shout look "one a de Ras Tafari dem "he didn't interfere with anyone there. Others joined in and made nasty remarks then a crowd started to follow him. Then one woman who thinks she is all upright and righteous flung a brick and burst his head. After this the crowd just turn and move away slowly.
I didn't see the reason for such a behaviour because he was a God fairing man. Brother Man didn't do anyone anything all he did was help people and those same persons turn on him. Our society need to stop classing everyone as the same because of their beliefs. We must also learn to forgive, what one may have done and not hold it against them.
I have witness a very in humane attack and i think we as members of society should put a stop to this type of behaviour.
Yours truly
Janetta Jno- Lewis
